Do Not Act On Impulse In Girl Stolen
In the novel Girl, Stolen by April Henry, the main theme is "Do not act on impulse. Think things through." This means that don’t do the first thing that comes to mind. Throughout the book, the characters show multiple examples of that.

One example of someone being an example of why to not act on impulse is Griffin. If he didn’t take Cheyenne’s step-mother, Danielle, car Griffin wouldn’t be in a position of kidnapping a teenage girl. "Look, it's an accident you're here. I just wanted the car, not you. I didn't even know you were in here." (page 8) He acted on impulse. If he didn’t steal the car because it was the first thing that came into mind he would be in a much easier situation than he is in right now. In conclusion, if Griffin thought
