Do You Calibrate Oscilloscope?
1. How do you calibrate an Oscilloscope?
In order to calibrate the Oscilloscope, we connected the BNC alligator into the channel we wanted to calibrate (Channel 1). We clipped the red probe to the calibration knob, and we saw a 2 volt VPP signal. The desired output from the oscilloscope was a 1000 Hz calibration frequency. The 1000 Hz frequency is the standard frequency for most of the oscilloscopes.
After we clipped the red probe, we saw a square wave signal. The first thing we calibrated was the voltage. We wanted a 0.5 Volt/Div. We wanted to set up 4 divisions (2 Volt/Div.) from the bottom of the wave to the top of the wave. In order to set up those divisions, we used the knob that was in the center of Volt/Div. knob.
We wanted to calibrate the oscilloscope such as the time displayed would be 0.2 ms. We calculated the period, and divided it by 0.2 ms which was the time set in the Time/Div. knob. We obtained that the signal was five divisions from one point to where it repeats. We adjusted the oscilloscope until we got the five divisions.

If you change the Volts/Div. setting on the oscilloscope are you changing the signal from the function generator or are you just changing how it is displayed? Use your data to justify your answer.
You are not changing the signal from the function generator. You are just adjusting the way the signal is displayed. One of the reasons is because the Oscilloscope is just a measurement device. In this experiment, we calculated the Volts/Div. by multiplying the vertical divisions times the

Once this was completed it was possible to determine what radiation was coming from the samples and what was just coming from the environment. The relative error for the intensity number found during this part of the procedure was then calculated and both values were recorded.…

Tube 2-3 will be filled with Dil 0.25, tube 2, 4, 6 & 8 will contains 2.0 of 10mM H2O2 and 1.0 of 25mM of guaiacol. Tube 3 will contain 4.75 of 0.1 Buffer in mL and 0.25 of enzyme extract in mL. Tube 4-5 will be filed with Dil 0.5, but tube 5 will contain 4.5 of 1.0 Buffer in mL and 0.5 of enzyme extract in mL. Tube 6-7 will be filled with Dil 1.0, for instant tube 7 will contain 4.0 of 0.1 Buffer in mL and 1.0 enzyme extract in mL. Tube 8-9 will be filled with Dil 2.0; in addition tube 9 will contain 3.0 of 0.1 Buffer in mL and 2.0 of enzyme extract in mL. After we were done, we turned the spectrophotometer one and let it warm for about 5 minutes, we set the wavelength to 500nm we set it to a point that we could only read the absorbance until 1.999. We took a cuvette rack and placed about 5 cuvette tube. We took a clean cuvette and transfer all the contents of the tube 1 into the cuvette and wipe the outside with a kimwipe and insert the cuvette into the sample holder. After doing the previous step we turn the 100% transmittance control knob and control it until the reading said…
