Dogs that do excercise in these yards generally are kept in small fenced in areas that are not large enough for them to run in with the ground covered in their own feces. These settings for dogs bound to these conditions inhibits bad behavior in the sense that these animals are being deprived of a natural setting and therefore, causing them to feel unhappy and act out with aggressive behavior. All in all, dogs need a suitable space to excercise in a healthy setting. Secondly, dogs must be taught social structure from a young age. Dogs must be socialized when they are young to deter aggressive behaviors as an adult. In an urban setting with the many confinements formentioned, dogs lack the ability to meet other dogs, people and animals. If a dog is not socialized, it may grow to be aggressive towards others as it never learned how to interact with them. Having a dog park would certainly give dogs the envirenmont that they need to learn to cope with others and in turn developing them into community safe animals. Building dog parks in cities is crucial to create an adequate learning environment to teach dogs social structure. Finally, rules and regulations would of course be set in place by government aswell as citizens to ensure a safe environment for all.

Dog owners of course would develope their own unwritten rules such as: pick up after your dog. Dog owners would most certainly be active in developing, following and enforcing these laws. With rules and regulations set in place, a dog park can be just as safe as any community park. In concluion, a dog park would be beneficial to a city in various ways. Dogs would have an open space designated for them to excerise and stay healthy. Socialization of dogs would create friendly dogs that are happy to see others and behave less aggressive towards others.
