When most people think of Domestic Surveillance cameras, spyware, phone tapping, protection as well as invasion of privacy are the things that comes to mind. People know that Domestic Surveillance is one way their country knows what is going on and can use the surveillance for proof of things like terrorism, thieves, etc. But does this means that having Domestic Surveillance in places is right? Does this invades people privacy? Domestic Surveillance can be watchful good for the nation but not everyone approve of this. The harm of NSA domestic surveillance outweighs the benefits. NSA spying is an ineffective tactic for anticipating terrorist attacks, reinforces long term terrorist strategies, and represents a significant violation of freedoms for Americans.
Domestic Surveillance (DS) is one of three of the National Security Agency’s intelligence activities. DS involves the collection and warehousing of all domestically-generated information streams. The mission of the Domestic Surveillance Directorate is simple: Collect, process, and store U.S. citizen data for the good of the Nation. The National Security Agency cope with the overload of information in their environment and turn that overload to their strategic advantage. They provide the ability for ubiquitous, secure collaboration both within their agency and through its interactions with various partners. The Natural Security Agency penetrate into the "hard" targets that threaten the nation wherever, whenever, or whomever they may be.
The National Security Agency provides necessary information needed to military, law enforcement and policymakers to protect and defend the nation. The main targets are American citizens and legal permanent residents. The National Security Agency feel that if there is nothing to hide than you have nothing to fear.
