Dr Blue Substance Abuse Case Studies
At the time of assessment I was referred, by Dr. Blue, in the emergency room for an evaluation on the patient mention above for her suicidal ideation and homicidal ideation with a plan to harm self and others. She reports for the past two weeks experiencing relational issues with her boyfriend and attempted to call him 32 times today, however was unable to get in contact with him. The patient reports that he was afraid of being physically harmed by her, which she admits to assaulting him in previous relational conflict. The patient expresses due to her pasted exposer to domestic violence and abuse throughout her youth, she does not know any other way of coping with situation conflict in her mind. She reports history of practicing cutting behavior when feeling overwhelmed with anxiety from relational conflict with her boyfriend. She expresses thought of …show more content…
The mother reports her daughter has been in a relationship with the boyfriend for a few years. The mother reports her daughter she notice change in her daughter behavior when her husband and her found out the patient was sexually active with the boyfriend a year into their relationship. The mother reports the boyfriend has called her multiple times about the patient physically assaulting him and accusing him of “not loving her anymore”. The boyfriend reports the patient has attempted to kill herself by overdose when they first started to become sexually active. In addition, calling him 3 or 4 in the morning about nightmares of a man holding her down. The boyfriend stated, “she attacked me after I showed up at her house because of the multiple calls while I was at work, I thought something was wrong so I stopped by her house, when I did she tried to argue with me.” The boyfriend reports he tried to leave and told her he loved her.
