This negotiation analyses describes the negotiation that took place during the movie “Draft Day.” Draft day is one of the most important days in the National Football League and occurs once per year(). It allows general managers to develop and improve their roster of players in hopes of bettering their team. Due to the multiparty negotiations that included but are not limited to the general managers of the NFL teams, the various coaches of the teams, the prospective players, one current player of the Browns, the war room staff, and the Browns franchise owner, the negotiations were quite complex. Most of the decisions and memorable events in the movie were centered around the key character, Sonny Weaver Jr., who is the general manager of the Cleveland Browns. With the great number of issues that occurred in a single day following up to the draft, Weaver was under great pressure. His personal issues as well as his job related issues both played a major role in his many decisions as well as his needs and desires for the team. Weaver collaborated with a number of general managers from different cities in order to obtain the players that his team needed. Draft day occurred in a number of cities including Cleveland, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Buffalo, and Seattle. All of the cities listed had general managers who gave and took deals from one another so that they could build their ideal team. The negotiation involved several participants and stakeholders throughout the entire negotiation. There were a great amount of participants and stakeholders who played a key role in the negotiation process that were directly or indirectly affected including:

Anthony was very excited about the Draft Day and had high hopes in selling more tickets as well as having more fans in the stands at the games. He exclaimed that he wanted Sonny to choose the Heisman trophy winning, star quarterback, Bo Callahan(). Sonny stated that they already had a quarterback who is Brian Drew and picking Bo would not make a difference to the team. Anthony also mentioned that Coach Penn wanted a new running back and states Sonny should pick Ray Jennings. Sonny reminded Anthony that he said he would stay out of the final decisions. He also told Anthony that he just had to let him do him, basically saying trust him and let him make the best decisions for the team. Sonny had faith in his own problem-solving ability and was willing to justify his personal
