Dramatic Monologue
I couldn't take my eyes off of him. I had seen him many times on tv and in pictures. However, seeing him in person gave off a sense of wonderment. Knowing what he had put me through also drove me angry. These two emotions fought within me and I could walk anymore. My mom, who was still holding me, tried pushing me forward. I pushed back into her and knocked her onto the ground.
"Avia." Aksel said from in front of me. He was standing directly next to the president. My mom got up and forced my arms behind my back yet again.
"It's okay, it's okay. Everyone thank you for bringing the kids here, you can let them go now." The president said in a booming voice. The unneccesarily angry adults let go of all of us. The tall old man in the room walked towards me, I backed up a bit.
"Now I bet you're all extremely confused at what's going on right now, hm." He continued.
"That's a bit of an understatement." Drew said. Everyone turned to look

As I was saying we ran into problems, once we picked the teenagers we soon realized not all of them wanted to join us. Ending in a few casualties here and there. Our plan just wasn't working out really how we planned. We decided that we didn't really need that many of you. The new world is to be set up differently, so that we aren't so divided. We don't want states or border lines or countries. We just all want to live in peace in one area. This being said we decided to run tests on the remaining kids." He gestured towards us, "We pretended that we had decided to shut down the program, that you were all at risk of dying. This showed us how you all would live in moments of chaos, to see how you would manage. Then we separated you from your mentors and had new adults go to take you in. Let me say I am so proud at how the majority of you handled it. You especially Avia, you really took hold of the leader position. That's really what we're looking for here." He finished by sitting down on a local

I waited a few moments, before shoving my face into the pillow and letting out a painful shriek. Hot tears fell from my eyes and I could only hear one person screaming: me. I can’t believe it. Mom was leaving me for Costa Rica. There must be something I could do to go with Mom. After I spent a few minutes of mourning, I rolled off my bed and hauled my body over to the door and turned the knob.…

CRASH. SCREEECH-BANG! Many protesting and angry yells went up into the pale NYC morning sky, caused by what looked like a small, red, and motorized wagon. It looked like this because that was exactly what it was. This “Motor-wagon” was piloted by a young-ish, tall-ish, and mostly bald man named Evan Victor Ite-Laught.…

My father trotted up to the dart game, like he was a big shot. I requested if I could play at least once. He said “sure thing.” As I walked up to the stand with the dart already on the table, I thought I was ready to throw it at the rubbery balloon. I closed my dark brown eyes and squinted very tight at the only balloon I wanted.…

Hello, I wanted to send you an email about something that was concerning to me after the game today. Kate came off the field very upset and unfortunately I had two other players with me that I was transporting home so I didn’t get much of a chance to discuss this with her until tonight. She wouldn’t tell me what was wrong right away, but one of the other players told me she was upset because her coach said there were three players that didn’t hustle and just stood there during the game today. Now I have taught for many years and also coached and take everything an 8 year old tells me with a grain of salt.…

One morning a long time ago, my mom woke me up early. “It’s time to go,” she said. Go, go where I asked? “Today, we are moving to Florida,” she said. My big brown eyes began to fill up with hot salty tears. I don’t want to go, I said over and over again. You and your sibling are going to be moving to Florida with me. Again, I cried aloud, I don’t want to go. Who will take care of me? Where will I sleep? And what will I eat and drink? Consequently, all of my pleas for mercy to reside longer with my daddy was ignored, and apparently fell on deaf ears.…

Dr. Spock paced back and forth muttering to himself like a madman, pulling at his hair in his frenzied haste. “I just don’t understand, it doesn’t make any sense,” he muttered, desperately gazing at the wall before him, covered with documents interconnected with a web of red strings. He quickly gazed up at me, his eyes bloodshot and skin a pallor grey, “We must do the impossible” he whispered so quietly that I had to strain to hear him, “We must open the portal.” “No,” I said in a shaky voice, “It’s unstable, the machine is unpredictable and uncontrollable! The risks are too great, we cannot!”…
