Dreams About Death Analysis
Since the dream assignment was initially assigned, I have been having strange and weird dreams that I would not even be able to being explaining, so I decided to choose a dream I had in the past that I vividly remember. A couple years ago, probably four or five, I had a dream that I will probably remember forever. In this dream, I died. I remember being in an immeasurably large and murky room. The only thing in the room, besides myself, was an enormous pool. It was a strange start to the dream, but that was only the beginning. I began walking beside the pool and thought everything was going to be okay and that all I had to do was leave that room. During that time, something from the inside of the pool reached out for my legs, I tried to run away from it, but it pulled me into the water. I tried to get out and tried to hold onto the side of the pool, but it pulled my whole body under the water. I could no longer breathe and had no other choice than to give up. The first article, “Dreams about Death: Dream Meanings Explained” states that a dream about death could mean that something in my life is going to end. Examples of things that could end are a phase, a job, or a relationship. The author of that article also included that it can happen because of anger and anxiety in someone’s life. The article, “Common Dreams: Death Dreams” says that a death dream could also mean that positive inner changes and self-discovery will happen. That author believes that because if someone dream of death, it could mean the death of their old ways and bad habits. The same article also states that it could mean that the dreamer is trying to escape from something in their life and being anxious and wondering about their own death. The third explanation of a death dream from that article is that it is a wake-up call to change things in your life, like to go to the doctor or to change unhealthy

His mentor and guide in this story is Archie, who challenges Jamie with a dreamtime story called ‘The Wanderers and the Lost Ones’ which makes him really think about where he lays. I found the reading "The Symbolic Language of Dreams", written by Stephens King, a very interesting story to write about. King stated a quote in his introduction saying that dreams are a useful way that help people find the nature of their problems; or, find answers to their problems in a symbolic way. The purpose of this essay is to show that dreams and imaginations were two main factors in King 's successful life. Hence, dreams and imaginations are critical factors when writing; they sure can resolve many issues and expand our thoughts in order to write better and longer books. Without passion writing good books is impossible.…

According to Oxford dictionary, the word “death” is the action or fact of dying or being killed. When it’s going to happen is unknown, but when it does, it has a tremendous impact. The narrator, Death in The Book Thief, captures the idea of death which can be brought upon in many different situations, without our control "Of course, an introduction. A beginning. Where are my manners? I could introduce myself properly, but it’s not really necessary. You will know me [narrator, death] well enough and soon enough" (4). Whether it is liked or not, death is inevitable. Even though dying is a normal part of existence, most people still fear it. Death should not cause people to live in trepidation or fright, but rather to live their lives with a…

Death is inevitable; People are all going to die at one point. Kagan in his book asks whether there is life after death. Since death comes after life, it paves for life again or is it eternity. Kagan thinks that death can be, and very often is, bad for the person who dies (and this is so because death deprives that person of the goods of life). However, Kagan denies that death is not bad. It is reasonable or appropriate for people to fear death. Kagan claims that only if people have three conditions. The first is the object of fear is bad. People are fear of death because of the badness of death. Death is defined as a bad thing because if people died, all things will not exist. If a person does afraid of one thing, the thing must be bad. Put…

Possible Bias in Language - The author of “On the Fear of Death” Elizabeth Ross shows minute signs of bias throughout her selection. The argument of modern medicine contributing to the fear of death is a controversial discussion. The author often refers to “old-fashioned” customs throughout the selection to show the acceptance to death during early civilization. The author bias lies within her birth place which is Europe. Ross states that “science is not so advanced…modern techniques have just started to find their way into medicine” (Pg.196). The author may be opposed of the use of modern medicine due to the lack of exposure growing up. This creates a bias within her argument and hurts the credibility…

When I looked down I saw nothing but a small black and orange rubber dingy. I tried to think about what had happened. It was then when I realized I couldn't even remember my own name.
