Drivers Ed-Module 9 and 10

Module 9: Critical Vehicle Systems 1. The mechanical part or feature listed in module 9 that I think is most important is the Brake. 2. The brake is very important because they are part and parcel of each and every car. I dont think we can think of a car without a brake. Without brakes, we'd all drive very, very slowly. Brakes give us flexibility in stopping when you want, where you want, and how you want.

3. We benefit from brakes by, well they are lifesavers. They provide us the friction we need to stop quickly enough to avoid an accident. Think of it like this, an object in motion stays in motion, so our cars would still be moving if it wasn't for brakes. Module 10: Sharing the road with others Stops­ Three things I will not do when driving is... 1. Keep driving when a school bus stops in front of me 2. Keep driving when a pedestrian is crossing the street 3. Keep driving when a construction worker is holding up a stop sign ­ I will not do these things because... 1. By not obeying the rules I could be risking someone else's life or my own life and I could be breaking the law.
Starts­ Three things I will do when driving is... 1. Drive only when the school bus's red lights turn off and the bus starts driving again.

Drive only when the light turns green and pedestrians have made made it safely across.
3. Drive only when the construction worker has put down the stop sign and it is safe to keep driving. ­ I will do these particular things when driving by... 1. Obeying signs and buses and emergency vehicles and people like construction workers, crossguards, and law enforcement.
Riding as a passenger: ­ One thing I will stop doing as a passenger is... 1. Distracting the driver ­ One thing I will start doing as a passenger is... 1. Warning the driver of any signs or pedestrians
crossing.
