Drugs are used in everyday life and in the modern world, new drugs are being created to beat diseases and illness. However, with the amount of drugs available from consumption, there tend to be a few users who abuse the use of legal and illegal drugs. Different drugs that were created to combat headaches or pain to ones that are created to enhance performance or happiness for a short period of time. Abuse of drugs can affect a person economically, psychologically and physically.
Cost of drugs can range from simple $1 pill to $100 for a gram of chemically made substances. The real cost of drugs comes from addiction to certain drug and when hooked on the drug, a person will spend more money on buying the drug to continue getting high. When this happens, a person will find any kind of source of money to purchase the drugs, this includes, using all available money earned or given to by the person's family. When that source is exhausted, the person may resort to criminal offences such as robbing an innocent person or a drug dealer. This somehow lead to the person being arrested and this will inevitably lead to more money being spent on bail and a lawyer.
Drugs abusers can succumb to severe psychological effects. The abuse of a drug will inevitably lead to the psychological addiction to a specific drug. When in withdrawal of the drug, abusers can feel depression and this will lead to an alteration of ones personality and can be detrimental to one psychologically. A person will find it hard to function in his or her normal ability because they feel out of place without the drug and their life is incomplete. They begin to feel normal senses they don't usually feel she they are "getting high".
