Admittedly, I could have chosen some other classes to take later in the evenings instead of right after lunch; yet, I specifically wanted to take the two physics courses I'm currently enrolled in right now to not only gain knowledge and learn new material, but also seize the opportunity to solidify my understanding of concepts exposed to in high school.
Taking any of the previously aforementioned AP courses during 3rd period would not have worked out for me either. This year's AP Chemistry class is being taught 3rd and 7th period. Disregarding 7th period, I signed up as a Tutor/Teacher's Assistant in 3rd period AP Chemistry. It is not that I value my English or economics education less, but that I value others' chemistry education more.
Having taken a full year of general (inorganic) chemistry at both the high school and college level, I have noticed a striking disparity about labs. Compared to college chemistry of the same curriculum, high school AP Chemistry lacks an appropriate laboratory equipped with adequate equipment and high tech apparatus.
