Geology 270 Research Paper
Geology 270 When it comes to choosing classes for a semester I always try to choose an enjoyable class. One where I know I will not have to stress over tests and homework. Once we arrived at school, we got into our designated cars and our journey began. Our first stop was a trucker stop where we enjoyed a delicious, finger-licking breakfast. Our second stop, was my favorite stop. It was the ghost town of Ransburg and it was everything you would think a ghost town to be old, empty, and spooky. We

From there on everything went on smoothly. I made sure to stay with my group at all times. My professor made sure to keep an eye out for me as well. I learned to never run down a mountain and to stay with my group. I had to limp the rest of the trip, but despite all the happened I had fun. It was a trip of many first and all the things I got to do and see made the fall seem so petty. My injury has not healed but the memories of the trip are going to stay with me forever. On the bright side, when it does heal I will have a scar to show off and a great story to

Like any formal writing, the beginning is equally important as the end. In order to appreciate the present, the past needs to be understood. Knowing the journey of where I grew up from the beginning to present day is amazing. It’s hard to believe there was a time in my hometown, Iron Mountain, Michigan, where electricity didn’t exist nor did the everyday tools we now take for granted. I often wonder what the city looked like to my grandparents and their family before them.…

For two out of my three years of high school, I have been piece of this grim statistic. My sophomore year I fractured the left side of my fifth lumbar vertebra located in my lower back. This was caused by running too hard. Then the next year, the right side of the fifth lumbar vertebra was fractured too. Both of these injuries brought an abrupt halt to my cross country season. Fracturing my lower back was an extremely difficult experience that has taught me how to deal with adversity.…
