Duane Alternate Ending

Duane was somewhat conflicted with the demeanour of Daisy, and the mention of the Church. Whilst she appeared to be a party-pooper, and he believed he and Karmen would have enjoyed a much more fun night at a Motel, or at least he would have, particularly if he'd conspired to ensure the room contained only one bed, he was happy for the opportunity to receive a free night's board and lodging, and possibly some valuables to depart with. Though being told he'd sleep on the sofa had send a note of disappointment through him, it, and Kurt's mention of the church the next morning, also helped eased some of his worries about Kurt.

Not only did he consider it less likely that the man would attempt anything, but also that, even if he had, that from what he knew of Karmen, she would soon become bored of any man who could fall in love with a prude such as Daisy.
The woman frowned at the mention of gambling, then approached Karmen. "Come with me, honey, and I'll show you to the bath and your room."

Daisy had returned to smiles and cheer when speaking to his partner in crime, however that disappeared as quickly as it had come, when she refocused on Duane, and pointed to a room down the hall. "The sofa's in there, I'll make it up for you tonight, when we retire."

Then all went silent as Kurt slammed closed the closet door from which he'd removed a brown trooper's uniform on a hangar, with Sheriff epaulets, and utility belt, and placed a hat on the top of his head. "I'll change at the station, you folks enjoy your expedition."

The kiss he stopped to plant on his wife's cheek, allowed Duane the chance to in and whisper in Karmen's ear, "Hope that there uniform doesn't get your panties in a twist, lucky for me he ain't wearing it," and poke out his tongue, before Kurt walked stepped past them, and Daisy waited expectantly for Karmen to follow
