Fitzgerald introduces many themes in his novel, The Great Gatsby. One of those themes is the power of love which is influenced through the emotional state of the characters. The power of love develops throughout the novel by the change in weather through the characters feelings; these provide essential viewpoints that the characters have towards the change in love. How the characters react towards others and the love that is represented through it.
The weather informs the reader of the characters feelings towards, “stagnant … heat,” takes a heated situation father (Fitzgerald 118).
