She makes poor and irrational decisions that land her in hot water. This poor choice making also leads into a much bigger problem, her inability to put her trust in the right places. She not only married someone and dedicated her life to someone she just met, drunk a potentially lethal poison because of a convoluted plan to avoid marriage and pushed away those that she could truly trust. A perfect example to show that Juliet pushes people away is the nurse. She insults her and criticises her for minor things, even though the nurse is more rational than her. In Act ii Scene V, the Nurse criticizes Juliet’s choice to marry Romeo. “... ; you know not how to choose a man. Romeo? No, not he.” (Shakespeare page 417) Nurse points out that she is too young to make quick decisions like this but Juliet refuses her advice. However, the Nurse was right and the marriage leads to death and
