In the learning outcome, we told to expect and learn a professional skills. My expectation and the ultimate goal were to learn everything listed on the course syllabus. Professional writing skills, new communication skills, and real world experience. For instance writing a memo, instruction, description, different type report, and professional biography. Also, I learned how to do audience
analysis, Oral and prepared a presentation, and how to create a big project. At the beginning of the semester I lost a direction around mid-semester I start seeing the course goal vividly. Now we are about to end the semester at this point I can say I learned beyond my expectation. We composed several major assignments for this course. When I reviewed all the assignments, I determined a sign of progress in these three areas, providing information to a particular audience, instruction, and writing skill. I know I am supposed to leave my comfort zone, but I have to write the truth. Professor before this class, I have a hard time to select a particular audience and deliver a specific message. For example for a 30-minute sermon, I have to spend several hours to prepare, and sometimes the message is not delivered as I planned. Now I know how to pick a particular audience and deliver the message without losing their attention. After I took a core grammar, my writing skill is changed I am applying all the grammar rules as much as possible, and I decided to purchase the access to learning more. Ultimately after instruction assignment I know how to write an instruction. In this particular assignment, I saw progress. After I wrote an instruction about R-26 digital portable recorder; after final I am planning to write more than three instructions for my church. In general this course it should not be a one-semester course. It is not an easy class, but it worth everything I did for this class is a professional real world skill. This course opened my eyes to see what is waiting for me. Again I learned more than my expectation.
