Working in the hospital and observing the nurses who are running around busy. I have notice that I was able to help the role of nursing by doing the vitals as soon as I start my shift. Most of the time they need to know what the vitals are before they can give medication, so if I can help do that they would have one less task to do. They get scared and afraid. I sometimes just sit next to them and listen to them, and I sometimes end up with tears. I remember there was times when a patient asked me to pray with her and I did.it felt great to help and be there for my patient. Sometimes the staff are just too busy, so listening and giving an emotional support or even going for a walk with patient in the unit with the permission of the nurse is fine. Especially when nurses are super busy. As an aid, I love to sit and keep them company and make them feel important. I make sure that, I perform hand hygiene before and after entering each patient’s room and follow the right isolation precautions is there is one. I see all the patient I work with as my own family and care for them as I would want someone to care for
