The eastern gray squirrel, or Sciurus carolinesis, is from the eastern and midwestern United States, and also to the eastern provinces of Canada (Wildlife Profiles). As the name states the eastern gray squirrel has gray fur but it can also have reddish fur and in some very rare cases black fur. Its belly is white and it has a long bushy tail.The average size of one of these squirrels is about 18 oz and the length, including the long bushy tail, being 18 inches long (Animal Diversity Web).
