On February 12, 2018, at approximately 1644 hours, Investigator Mems conducted a recorded interview with witness, Edgar Alonso, at Pulaski County Criminal Investigations Division. Mr. Alonso agreed to make a statement in reference to an aggravated assault which occurred at 7719 Perry Lane in Little Rock, AR. Mr. Alonso stated he arrived at Mr. Ruben’s residence to take his friend “Daniel” to retrieve his items from Mr. Torres’ residence. Mr. Alonso advised his girlfriend, Robin Vicente, was at the residence with him. Mr. Alonso stated Mr. Ruben had an auto mechanic shop at his residence. Mr. Alonso advised Mr. Ruben had two of his friends at the residence that Mr. Alonso did not know.

Alonso stated after being at Mr. Torres’ residence for approximately five minutes he then observed a white passenger vehicle park behind his vehicle. Mr. Alonso stated the black male asked Mr. Torres for keys and car parts. Mr. Alonso advised the black male asked Mr. Torres for his money back. Mr. Alonso said the black male pushed Mr. Torres to the ground, and then jumped on top of Mr. Torres. Mr. Alonso advised the black male grabbed a knife from his back pocket, and then placed the knife on Mr. Torres’ back. Mr. Alonso advised an unknown male retrieve a hammer yelling at the black male to leave Mr. Torres. Mr. Alonso advised the black male chased Mr. Torres inside his residence. Mr. Alonso advised the black male picked up a chain used to lift motors. Mr. Alonso stated Mr. Torres and the black male ran into Mr. Torres’ residence and then came back out of the residence.     On October 24, 2012, Steinbeck reported at approximately 3:00PM, he arrived at his residence located at 222 River Road, Riverend City. Steinbeck states he entered the house, turned on the television, and said he then remembered he had forgotten something from his vehicle. He goes on to say that while entering the front door of his home; he was assaulted with a deadly weapon (pipe wrench) from behind being struck on his head causing a concussion and lost consciousness. When Steinbeck regains consciousness he realized the suspect had located and stole $1500 in US currency. The Riversend CSI personnel unit responded to the crime scene location and gathered evidence. Upon gathering evidence, two samples of blood were obtained at the scene. One sample was found located on a bloody wrench used to assault Steinbeck (Photo,20).The second sample was inquired at the entrance of the residence from a door jam on the metal glider where the door latch slides across the frame(Photo,1). Unfortunately, no latent prints were obtained from the scene. I, Officer Rookie, checked with Steinbeck’s Neighbors in attempt to acquire any information anyone might have observed. One neighbor, Bob Smith, Residence 229 River Road, stated he observed an American made pick-up truck, 80’s year model park near the victim’s residence at 2:00 PM approximately one hour before the attack.…
