The Effects Gun Laws Would Generate if They Were Put in Place

The government wants to alter our gun laws; for what? The universal term for this very controversial topic we all seem to be seeing and hearing is “prevention.” We wish to prevent injury, death, and crime in general. While this may seem like a sound reason to place gun laws on the people, the root of all this evil really isn’t in the gun – No. We must look deeper than that and we will find that the problem – instead – lies within the individual. Banning the use of fire arms beyond the realm of the government is the worst possible decision we the people can make in our current situation for it is not the guns killing people – rather, the individuals that use the firearm. The last time in history the general population was not allowed to bear arms outside of government organizations was in Germany under Hitler’s reign of terror; how did that turn out? Genocide was the result. In the instance of a drunken driving accident where an innocent victim is killed, do we blame the driver or the vehicle? When the roles are switched from drunk driver and their vehicle, to a shooter and their gun… we are quick to wrongly assess the situation and point fingers at guns. Then the gun law advocates are quick to jump in and say: “this is why we need gun laws in place” – when really all we need is a better insight, where it is that we can assess the matter of fact opinion that yes, it is indeed the person who pulled the trigger, never the trigger itself forcing the hand of its holder. In the event gun laws were placed on us as a whole, we would be affected the greatest through the social aspect of our views on firearms. As far as economics is concerned in the matter, new proposed gun laws could mean economic suffering for the booming gun industry. In the past four years, the gun industry has experienced an unprecedented level of growth, providing a rare boost to our already decrepit and fragile ailing economy. Imposing these gun laws on the people of the United States of America would not only infringe on our right as citizens of this country, but as well - do more than some undeniable damages to our already roughed up economy. In conclusion and hindsight, we can undoubtedly see the remarkable damage that implementing the new gun laws would do to the American people as far as infringement on our individual rights as well as the deficit in would create for our economy. We are America. We are free.
