Electronic Media
Electronic media are ubiquitous in most of the developed world. As of 2005, there are reports of satellite receivers being present in some of the most remote and inaccessible regions of China. Electronic media devices have found their way into all parts of modern life. The term is relevant to media ecology for studying its impact compared to printed media and broadening the scope of understanding media beyond a simplistic aspect of media such as one delivery platform (e.g. the World Wide Web) aside from many other options. The term is also relevant to professional career development regarding related skill sets. Electronic media can broadcast news using less time than other media. In Bangladesh we know there are various kind of electronic media such as radio, television, internet, online radio, online newspapers etc. Electronic media helps us to get news and to get entertained in many way. Let’s talk about radio. We can hear any kind of news through radio from anywhere. They entertain and teach listeners by broadcasting various types of programs. Some radio channels telecast live traffic update. It’s so helpful for traffic controlling easily. Television channels are performing the best rule to update our society. Many satellite channels are growing up day by day in Bangladesh. There are many types of channel in our country. Some are news channels, some are music and some of them telecast religious programs. Some channels telecast all kinds of programs. They help to know the condition of our country. They are making people more conscious. They help our whole nation to stay closer. Internet is the best way to get every kind of information within sometimes. Online radio and online television are built based on internet. Now we can enjoy radio and television through internet.     There are various forms of visual entertainment media that has shaped American culture and its values. There are such things as watching violent movies, which can influence us in a negative way. Violence on television has been accepted more nowadays, that some of us overlook it, or become immune to it. This does not mean that violence did not exist in the past, but it does mean that we have come to accept it more now, and are less likely to be surprised by it. There are several “novelas” that have aired on Telemundo or are currently showing on Telemundo that have to do with the cartel. They’re supposed to teach people a lesson, so that they do not follow in these footsteps, but it can backfire and show people techniques. “La Reina del Sur,” or “The Queen of the South,” is supposed to be the girlfriend of a drug trafficker form the Sinaloa cartel. She then becomes a powerful trafficker herself, and it goes from there. Later, they showed another “novela” called “Pablo Escobar: El Patron del Mal,” or “Pablo Escobar, The Boss of Evil.” He becomes a big drug trafficker in Columbia. Currently, Telemundo is showing one called “El Senor del los Cielos,” or “Lord of the Skies.” This one is about a Mexican drug lord who becomes the boss of the Juarez Cartel. The reason all of these examples were listed is because these “novelas” are extremely violent, and yet they become very famous, and people watch as if it were the most normal thing.…
