“Can you believe it Emerson?” She walked to the kitchen and poured the puffball some food and filled his water. “I, Ruby Bennett, am going on a date with Azazel von Trip. A.K.A the hottest guy in the entire universe.”
Emerson meowed at her as if to respond with “Could you please stop talking about it.”
“Alright, alright.” She replied to his meowing. “But if all goes well you’ll be hearing about it for a very long time.”
She made her way to the bathroom and looked at …show more content…
herself hard in the mirror. She undressed and climb into her stand alone shower. As Ruby washed her hair with vanilla shampoo she thought about what she might say to Azazel. His violet eyes flashed through her mind and it made her moan. She thought of his lips on her neck and his hands running over her thighs. She ran her hands over her body and let her imagination run wild. Images of Azazel touching her ran through her. She pictured him pushing her against the wall of the shower and sliding his hand slowly inside her. “Oh Azazel” She moaned.
Stepping out of the shower she walked to her bedroom and searched her closet for the perfect dress. A black sleeveless dress hung unworn in the back of the closet. She slipped it on and looked at herself in the full length mirror, that made the door of her closet. She tied her hair back in a simple bun as her bangs clung to her forehead. She lined her eyes with a matte black and her lips with a shimmering red. For a moment Ruby didn’t recognize herself. It had been a very long time since she’d dolled up for anyone. Just then the doorbell rang. It was only seven o’clock, he was early.
She answered the door and there he was, Azazel von Trip. He wore a white button up with black jeans. Ruby wondered how he could make casual look so good.
“Hello Mr. von Trip,” Ruby said as she opened the door. “You’re early.” Ruby blushed as she thought back to what she had just done in the shower.
“Please Ruby we are not at the office call me Azazel.” He didn’t come inside, he just stood in the doorway.
“Will you come inside?” Ruby invited him in.
“Yes, thank you.” He smiled and he entered her tiny apartment. “Your home is quite lovely.” Ruby lead him to the couch.
“Whenever you are ready I’m ready Azazel.” Saying his name so casually made her stomach flutter.
“Ready to leave so soon, but Ruby I just got here. Let’s enjoy the quiet and closeness of your home.” Azazel sat in the straight back chair that was seated in the corner. Emerson jumped in his lapped and purred softly.
“Emerson get down.” Ruby urged the little puff ball, but he wouldn’t move.
“It’s alright.” Azazel scratched Emerson’s ears. “I’ve always been quite fond of cats. Ruby how long have you had Emerson?”
“Well,” she let out a quiet laugh as she sat on the couch.
“It’s more like how long as he had me. He found me. It was raining outside and I had been holding on to some papers where I had written some code and a wind come by and blew them out of my grasp. I ran after them of course, and when they finally stopped I saw a small kitten jumping up and down on the paper as if trying to keep them in place. When I bent down to pick up my now soaked papers. He looked at me as if to ask if he did a good job. I told him ‘yes little one thank you’ and I picked up the wet kitten, carried him home, and we’ve been together ever since.” Ruby looked at Emerson and he was looking at her as if to acknowledge the truthfulness behind her story.
“That’s a lovely story Ruby.” Azazel smiled at her. “Well Let’s go to dinner shall we?” Azazel held out his arm for Ruby to hold. “Go on dear I don’t bite.”
Ruby wrapped her arm in his it felt nice but his skin was cold, but she didn’t mind. She let her mind wonder about where they might go as they walked to Azazel’s car. The car was black, sleek, something you’d expect a man of wealth to drive. He opened the door for Ruby and she climbed inside. Classical music dripped slowly from the stereo.
“Lovely isn’t?” Azazell interrupted the sweet sound of the classical music. Ruby looked out the window with wonder as they past every restaurant in town and turned down a road she didn’t know. It was small and overgrown. The trees gave it a magical feel as they leaned and arched together as if guiding the
way.
“Yes.” Ruby whispered afraid that further interruption would ruin the moment.
The car stopped and the music went away. “We are here.” Azazel announced. A large gothic style home with a single light on in a second story window stood boldly in front of them. Azazel got out of the car and opened the door for Ruby.
“Where are we.” Ruby started almost mouth open. She was in awe of how beautiful it was. Large round windows adorned the walls and tall peaks formed the roof. Ruby couldn't believe a place this magical was just on the outskirts of town. and made her heart ache to behold a place of such wonder.
