Abstract:
Motivating employees is a fundamentally important part of successful management and a crucial aspect of a leader’s role. Significant organizational outcomes can be obtained by having staff that are motivated. These include:
Increased productivity in the workplace
Reduced absenteeism and turnover
Increased innovation and creativity
Increased employee and customer satisfaction
An enhanced company profile
Higher quality products or services
Introduction:
Motivating your employees is not always the easiest of tasks, but it does pay off in the long run for you and your employee.
One of the best techniques to build and maintain employee motivation is to make it a habit to recognize your employees. By habit, have an event for your employees quarterly to show that they’re appreciated. You may even have office parties. This will build and maintain employee motivation though ongoing sincere recognition and deserving rewards. Employers should also provide sponsored hands-on workshops and training in order to facilitate delivery of appreciation for their employees.
