The Problem and Its Background
INTRODUCTION
Students are working hard, a new study finds, taking on part-time and even sometimes full-time jobs to avoid racking up more debt while in school. They have different perception and prioritization when it comes to Education and also to Employment. More likely, it deals to a diverse of activities in school and workplace. The perception that set in his/her mind is highly centralized and the prioritization given is sprightly organized in dealing with school matters and work.
Working students can be categorized into two groups: those who primarily identify themselves as students but who work in order to pay the bills and those who are first and foremost workers who also take some college classes. Almost two-thirds of undergraduates who work consider themselves "students who work"; the other third consider themselves "workers who study."
Education and Employment are two different spectrums; Education is a field of study that deals with the methods and problems of teaching while Employment is the application or the actual activity which one engages in the professional world.
Being a working student will give them opportunity in their future career. It is an advantage for them to educate themselves while working because they will not need to depend on their parents or guardian financially and they can help their family either. They can control their time through establishing prioritization between education and employment.
The purpose of this study is to understand, and to develop awareness to the students, working students, parents, PUP faculty members and employers.
