English 1101 Research Paper
English 1101 was not like I expected. I came into the class thinking this was going to the hardest class I have ever taken. Turns out that the class was one of the easiest subjects I have taken this semester. There were only a few essays that had to be written which was good and bad thing at the same time. My grade was pleasing considering the fact that I am only a sophomore in high school. The class will be every beneficial in the future; when it is all over I will appreciate taking the course. While the structure of the class was not put together well, the English 1101 class turned out to be manageable.
The English 1101 course did not require that much discipline to complete with a passing grade. All that was needed to be done was reading, taking quizzes, simple class work and writing essays. The reading was not complex at all.

All of my classmates and my teacher were given a limited amount of information on the class. It was not like high school at all. I understood that it was the first time the class was going to be offered at the high school campus, but more information about the class should have been given to the teacher and students.
If I were to take another course, English 1102, I would probably not take it at the high school. As of right now, I have not thought about taking a second course. I would consider either taking in at the college campus or completing the class online. Hopefully the teacher will know how to teach the class and have information about it if the course was taken at the college campus or online.
If I could redo the course, I would focus on the due dates and not procrastinate. I would definitely spend a little more time on the quizzes and look over the questions twice to make sure all the answer were correct so I would get an 100. I would also not wait until two days before an essay was due to start writing it. I have learned to make time for studying and writing by completing this

The English 3003 class has helped me in various ways in improving and shaping my writing skills. Although some of the work were tedious and sometimes frustration at times, but overall it was a fun class to be in and was a great learning experience as well. I had to take this class not because I failed to secure an 8 in the WST test but because I had problems mainly due to my poor writing. Throughout the class this quarter I experienced many methods and different types of writings and essays. The writing homework took time, and several ideas and sometimes google searches to make it a good essay I can score marks on, but in return, I learned skills and techniques…

My first semester here at UIC I was obligated to take English 160. I can honestly say I thought I would be easily passing this course. I was used to the 5 paragraph essay in high school and assumed that things would be the same in college. After writing my first project for English 160 I felt invincible until I received my graded paper. I had no idea what I had done wrong because I had done so well in high school English. Finally I realized that I had to pick one theme for an entire paper and elaborate on it completely. Even though it took some time I felt…

I believe that the major objective of English 111 is to practice different substantial skills that will help you increase your writing abilities. These skills will prepare students when they’re expressing thoughts, feelings, viewpoints, and information orally or on paper. In my opinion, the most important central concept communicated in the syllabus is the Course Schedule. I will constantly be marking off the assignments that I have already completed so that I know which ones I have left to complete. It’s extremely important to be well organized and to always keep up with when the work is due. If you get too far behind, it’ll end up being too much work to catch up on. Being proficient is key to success in this class. The only question that…

If I could change one thing about this class, it would definitely be about the reading. The readings were incredibly numerous and sometimes, I couldn’t finish everything, which led to a serious cycle of me falling incredibly behind. I would’ve loved for a way to cut down the readings, perhaps only read important excerpts or something because the workload was either really hard or very laid back.…

What is death penalty? Death penalty is when a state or the government issues the punishment of execution to some one who has committed a crime. It has always been one of the most highly debated issues in the United States. Many Americans are against the capital punishment or commonly knows as the death penalty because they fear its too expensive or there are religious reasons to oppose the death penalty or some other reasons. But my point of view is just like the bible and what it says "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" meaning if you killed some body you ought to be killed also. Most people aren't worried about the life after committing crimes because they know that the laws aren't strict enough to make them to stop committing crimes. To these people, laws don't hold them back from doing what they want to do. Capital punishment is mainly used for murderers and other serious criminals dangerous to our society. People who oppose the capital punishment clearly don't feel the pain and the trouble the victims and their families has gone through. So, is capital punishment necessary? Yes, capital punishment deters crime and gives closure to families of the victim.…
