Vincent Lowe
My name is Vincent Lowe and I’m a freshman here at Delaware. I’m originally from New Jersey born and raised and Delaware was my first choice for college. I have an older sister and I’m really into sports. My favorite teams consist of the Eagles, Pirates, 76ers, and Flyers; I have season tickets to the Eagles and I go to every game with my dad. I follow sports pretty much everyday and I love playing sports with my friends. I’m a big fantasy football guy and I’ve been running my own league for a while now. Fantasy football makes the NFL season that much more interesting as your interested in every game and not just your favorite teams game. My sister also went to Delaware and she graduated last year. She is going for her CPA and she already has a job. She majored in Accounting and Finance as what I’m going to major in as well. I’m looking forward to rushing this semester, as I want to be a part of a fraternity here at Delaware, as I believe it will make me time here a lot more enjoyable. Next year I’m living in a townhouse with some of my friends as I’m pretty excited for that having my own place for the first time and living on my own means. It will be an adjustment but I’m looking forward to it. My family is really important to me and they always come first, I would do anything for them and I love spending time with them. My grades are really important to me as I try hard in school to get the best possible grades and become a successful student. Being a successful student will enable me to achieve a good job in the future and hopefully lead a successful life. I’m looking forward to this English class because my least favorite subject is English and I want to learn to become a better writer and enjoy the subject of English.

    I made my way across the parking lot, towards the entrance to the gym. As I reached the double doors I paused, then slowly turning, I attempted to take in as much of the outside view as I could. I saw a green meadow dotted with a few thoughtfully placed picnic tables, a few baseball, and soccer fields. I also noticed that this place is home to a busy skateboard park right beside a well-kept playground. My pan of the scene had revealed to me that this place has grown into something more than what I had remembered it to be. Today this center welcomes people of all ages. In contrast, when the U.S. Air Force ran this facility it was for military personnel and their adult dependents. It was a simple gymnasium with a couple of minimally groomed baseball diamonds and multipurpose fields, lacking any beauty. Today, the sturdy old building and surrounding fields are a beautiful sight to behold, and maintained by a local community services organization.     Who would have thought that such a little booklet could contain such personal and accurate information about each individual’s personality simply by filling in bubbles to answer simple multiple-choice questions? Upon first glance, I thought that “The Keirsey Temperament Sorter” would never be able to correctly depict my personality. However, I still managed to fill out the questionnaire in a careful and truthful manner despite my convictions. After taking the personality questionnaire, my results showed my personality type falling under the category “Idealist” as an ESFP. To my surprise, I found this to be quite similar to how I would describe my own personality type. By further research, I determined that ESFP actually stands for extraversion, sensing, feeling and perceiving. The description described an ESFP as a friendly person who helps others enjoy life. Also, it stated that they tend to make warm and enthusiastic friends and are more likely to pay attention to details and value a realistic approach to solving problems. Taking into my major in nursing at MSU, I decided to research if this would fit my ESFP personality type.
