Entertainment and Seaside A Picnic
“A Picnic at Seaside”
A picnic with friends is very enjoyable. Some of my friends decided to go on picnic at Clifton last Sunday. We hired a wagon and put in it all the necessary things that were needed there. We carried with us food, fruit and water in a large cooler. We set out early in the morning. The weather was very pleasant. We reached Clifton at about 9 a.m. The site was very beautiful. Cool and refreshing breeze was blowing. First of all, we began to swim in cold water. After the bath we had tea with light refreshment. After that, some of us enjoyed camel-ride and horse-ride while others played at card and chess. It was now lunch time. Each of us had brought with us the best of dishes prepared at home. We all enjoyed our delicious lunch. Then we had an amusing program of songs and funny stories. Akbar entertained us with his songs. It was discovered that he was very good singer. After that some of us started playing football on the sandy shore. Some of my friends collected sea shells and colorful pebbles. Now it was evening. We had tea at 5 p.m. The last item of the picnic was a group photograph. We all than packed our stuff and were ready to go home. Before leaving the seaside we also visited the aquarium and the play-land. There we saw many kinds of colorful fishes. The play-land was also worth seeing. It had even more people of all the ages with many entertainments for them. After enjoying every moment of the excursion to the seaside, we returned home

From the article we learn that that the beach to city programme is run by the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institute) and also that they do good work as a charity which very little I known about them in some places. Their aim is to ‘educate children about the dangers of the seaside and how to stay away from trouble.’ They teach these skills to primary school children because it is said that they are highlighted as a ‘higher risk group’ who are most likely to be unaware of what the RNLI are about. The RNLI teach kids about keeping safe in the sun. They advise to ‘slap on a sun hat, slop on sun cream’ and ‘slip on a T-shirt’ to protect themselves from the sun. Furthermore the RNLI aim to make all their lessons memorable as well as enjoyable, they do these things by getting the kids to take part in play-acting and getting grips with equipment. Their sessions also focus on the use of public equipment (PRE), they do this by respecting and using life rings, throwing lines and emergency communication are very important to them in particular. The advice the PRE give is also aimed towards school children in London. They managed to visit 30 schools there. In the Future the RNLI education team aim to add a fourth city to the beach tour and plan to continue their work as well as adding more for the coming years.…

We had all travelled, for the past two days, in a mini bus from Canada to America. My aunt recommended us to go to America on a tour, as we could see far more attractions than that in Canada. The bus had a very warm and pleasant mood as we had seen enjoyed our short but pleasant, trip thoroughly. From the Empire State Building to the Statue of Liberty we not only had the pleasure of seeing some of the greatest tourist attractions in the world but also spending time who began as strangers but now very close friends.…

I had always been a good child. No matter how much work I had, I did it. Even if I had two hours of homework, you could count on me to help you. Now that I am an adult, I realize what a wonderful childhood I had. I went to a great private school with the best teachers and students. I even had the privilege of having my very own textbooks. Those who weren’t as lucky, had textbooks destroyed by students who had them before they were even born. It might seem like all I cared about was school, but I loved to have fun. I played with my friends all weekend. My favorite activities to play outside were cricket and badminton. I wasn’t that great at cricket, but I was a formidable badminton opponent. In fact, I was so good that my friends refused to play me for fear of losing 21 to 0. When it was too hot during the summer, or too rainy during the monsoon season, my friends and I played card games. I enjoyed playing an Indian card game called “fish”, in which he goal is to get cards in a certain order. Both of my parents worked in offices, so I always got presents on holidays and my birthdays.…

Five minutes later, we were on our way to Sea World. We laughed and sang until we arrived at the amazing place. I could smell the fresh aromatic scent of the fresh water-park as I stepped out of the car. I heard the birds chirping, a patter and the trees danced with the cool breeze. The first thing I saw, was a huge roller coaster extending over a small building in the sky, that seemed like a mini tower. The water park was colorful and everything was in order.…

We purchased our tickets, and were filled with anxiousness for the adventure to begin. After what seemed like eternity, we finally arrived at Sea World. Our to-do list for the day was enormous. We moved quickly through the park, in order to take it all in. The dolphin show was my favorite. I was so impressed watching the dolphins interact with their trainers. They love to jump and swim in the water. My experience at Sea World made our Florida vacation that much more…

every so often to pick up a small rock-pebble-stick- anything they find interesting. I can see an elderly couple walking a long the sand, a yellow labrador running happily ahead. The smooth weathered rocks of the cliff side whisper in the wind. The crisp seaweed pushed onto the rocks by the waves, lay baking at the sea's edge, occasionally moving with the tide. The clear blue sea's waves rattle the tiny pebbles embedded in the golden sand. The foam from the waves cover a small child's forgotten sandcastle, bringing it down with a dull crash. The high tide pushes back the crowd of people to the beach's edge. Ice cream stalls and candy floss stands wafts a sickly sweet smell of sugar to a group of little children, who pester their parents for an ice cream in loud, whining voices that carries across the beach. The clinking of glasses at the bar and the low hum of conversation mingle in with the loud seagull's squawking. The swooping of the gulls to capture food littered across the sand scare a couple of people into dropping their ice creams and hotdogs.…

She was arriving closer to her destination. Her nose prickled and she inhaled the faint smell of salty water in the distance. When she arrived at the beach, she parked her car in the already crowded parking lot but, was lucky enough to find a shady parking spot under a large old tree with branches stretching out as if to welcome her arrival. Lisa grabbed her belongings and stepped out of her vehicle, excited for what the day is going to bring her. The sound of playful children laughing in the distance, the seagulls gawking, the muffled noise of waves, and the jingle-jangle of arcades games made her feel eager to make her way down to the beach.…
