Vision: “To design and implement a quality, community-based primary care system with an emphasis on intervention and prevention. A system which is caring, compassionate and competent focusing on the needs of our culturally diverse community as well as ways to continually improve and expand our service. The mission is used every minute and every day at my site. They have a routine when checking patients in, getting them ready when it’s their time to see the doctors etc. The doctor’s deal with patient and their needs different hit the “sensitive manner”. This hospital is made for the community to use in case of emergency. They have a rule they have to go by, like people can’t be waiting for so long, everyone has to helped and treated with respect there has been times when patients felt like they were being treated wrong. Human resources were called and came down to investigate the situation. Everyone seems to leave happy, and all questions have been answers. Since the hospital has gotten less money, the eye clinic can’t provide glasses. So they have made relationship with another place that makes glasses and will help the patient receive them for a low price. All the patient has to do is provide a prescription which the doctor has giving to them. My short term goal is to learn why some people can’t see out if there peripheral.
Physical Space My site is a standard size to me; there are a lot of rooms and a lot of hallway space. For example the lobby is big as classroom and a little more. The front desk is equal to putting 8 6’2 men their comfortably. The rooms were the nurses take vital signs are standard room size, same as the visit rooms and there are 6 of those. The copy rooms, and break room, are all also standard size. The 2 bathrooms are equivalent to 1 stall at school with a sink etc. The medicine room is equal to a closest. Lastly the doctor’s
