On December 16, we had a career fair beginning with the keynote session. When we got to the keynote session Brent Comstock was the speaker. He is the CEO of BCom solutions, which is a company that helps design websites, commercials for campaigns, etc. Some things he told us that are important for me to know where that you are never too young to start a business; he started when he was 12 years old in his parent’s basement. Another topic he told us about is do what you’re interested in, for example: if you are spending all your time playing football, when you want to be playing basketball, stop football and start basketball. One more topic he talked about was your concerns should go in this order: passion-what you want to do in life, people-work with the people you think will have the greatest impact on your life, …show more content…
Jeremy’s job was to train guys with just about any gun there is. One of the other guy’s job was to put out fires. Patrick Hynes was there and he explained the training he went through. This relates to the military career cluster. Some personality traits that someone would need for this career would be self-confidence, you can't put out fires or shoot a gun without confidence; and hard-working because you need to be physically fit to be able to run into battle and away from battle.
I would be interested in working at John Deere with AgriVision. This would be a good job for me because it involves agriculture and working on machinery.I think that this career fair was a good idea not only because it was fun, but also because I got to learn more about jobs that I wouldn’t normally know about. My post-secondary option would be college and the career fair gives me a good idea of what I want to go to college for. I look forward to this every year and can’t wait for next year’s career
