The only reason things like the holocaust are justified when it happened is because …show more content…
there is no base for citizens to disagree with the things that are happening. because they are not aware of how things can turn out. They just have to blindly agree, because there has been no lesson drawn until it is too late. This is why it is essential for the young of today to be taught about the horrors of genocides like the holocaust and how things ended up to be like they did. Because we do not want the young of today to just blindly agree with a regime because they had no base to know what the outcome of it was. Holocaust education and educating the youth of today on other genocides will give them a base and a lesson to take from how things turned out in past regimes and know that the things a regime is doing is not right and will not be for the better of them. This is important, because the German people were not educated on how things were going to turn out, they had to base to see the future, which lead them into believing the Nazi cause.
The Victims of the holocaust died, but they do not deserve their suffering not to be recognised and the lessons about their suffering not to be learnt by humanity, because they do not deserve to die and be forgotten. Many Holocaust survivors spend their days trying to educate the youth on their struggle, for they do not want their struggle to go unnoticed and to be repeated as time goes on. It is that if the victims could talk, they would do just the same as the survivors and try to make their suffering not be in vain and to educate the youth for it not to happen once more. It is our duty to educate the youth in place of the thousands of victims who died before they could do this.
Genocides just like the holocaust teach lessons of how ordinary people like you and me were pushed into this horrible suffering and loss for doing nothing wrong but practice what they believe in.
The lessons learned are about overcoming oppression and finding yourself through these horrible events, and it can also teach kids about how to overcome bullying and racism through the tales of this magnified by the hundreds. these lessons are important to teach because, they are things that do not fit into normal curriculum and are special lessons not to be looked over. So, the holocaust is not just a bunch of history, it is a lesson for kids to learn the real struggles that youth their age had lived amongst extreme oppression.
With this another opinion is revealed. It is that some might argue that we should not teach the holocaust for we are focussing too much on the holocaust, and not on genocides happening today. They would be right, we do need to focus on other genocides, but the holocaust is a genocide that presents a lot of things to learn from that many other genocides haven’t. But it’s agreed that yes, we are focussing too much on the holocaust and not a lot of the struggles of people today with racial
genocide.
In summary the holocaust is an important part of history with the suffering of thousands it can also teach kids about struggles in their lives that won't be taught in any other curriculum. It is also an important lesson that humanity needs to take, for history is only avoiding the repetition of the past. Lastly We need to honor all of the suffering of the victims, for they do not deserve to die in vain and die for no progress to occur in society.
