world everyday. Kind gestures such as holding someone's door, helping someone who is struggling is an act of Jesus characteristic. All these minor gestures are an act of Jesus Christ our savior.
I disagreed when the author mentions how Jesus favors the rich men and loose women only. “He had uncompromising views on rich men and loose women, yet both type enjoyed his company.” Jesus loves all of us equally and he does not discriminate us. Jesus sacrificed his life for our sins and salvation. He did not only do it for the rich men and loose women, but instead he died to save all of us including the non-believers.
I was surprised when the author mentioned “Jesus was a human being, a Jew in Galilee with a name and a family, a person who was in a way just like everyone else.” I always thought Jesus was half human and half God.
I was in disbelief when I first saw it because I always thought of Jesus as being half and half. I never thought he was fully human. Throughout this chapter, I learned that I was completely living underneath a rock. Not only did I learn about Jesus being fully human, I also learn that he was just like everyone else. Even though Jesus was the Son of God he was still equal to each and every one of us.
Before reading “The Jesus I Never Knew” I did not know much about Jesus existence. Like how I previously mentioned before, I did not know Jesus was human. I always believed Jesus was half human and half God. Jesus being half God was always in the back of my mind so I always thought of him as God. After I read this book I have learned my error and mistake.
There is not much to say about this book because this book has showed many interesting insights about Jesus and the author's belief. I really enjoyed chapter 1 since it talks about how the author though or see Jesus as. The author shares their opinions about Jesus and it makes the book more interesting and
entertaining.
