Most issues in the United States tend to be sore topics. One of those issues is gun laws/ gun carry laws. In the state of Kansas an open carry law is in the works of getting passed. Kansas already has an open carry law but it has restrictions on certain businesses and buildings. With every issue there are people who agree with this law then there are people who disagree. Personally I think that there needs to be more consideration, planning, testing, and observing before a law like this gets passed. I also think that there needs to be strict and detailed guide lines for this law and ones like it. In the state of Kansas, the law says that if you are over the age of twenty-one you do not need a permit, registration, license of firearm, or a permit to carry, to purchase a rifle, shotgun, or handgun. Any person of the age of twenty-one can legally conceal and carry with no permit or license. The state of Kansas does not generally prohibit the open carry of a handgun. Peoples morals and feelings can easily get hurt. People can disagree on anything and everything. If there was a topic that some person felt very strong about and some body else decided to go against them in an argument and the other person got very angry. There is a chance they could reach for their pistol and shoot a class mate or even a teacher.
In my personal opinion I think that the open carry law should get passed but there needs to be very strict rules and regulations. I think that they need to have intensive training with guns and how to use them. I think that you should have to have a permit to carry a gun. I also think that there needs to be vigorous back ground checks. Also I believe that if you don’t pass all the tests and courses you shouldn’t be able to get your permit.
