Essay On Pet Peeve

A pet peeve. Everyone has one, a pet peeve is something that a person can find frustrating, aggravating, or just maddening. There a lot of things that I could classify as a pet peeve. I find nothing more aggravating than a bicyclist on a high traffic road. They have no need to be there, they are not only putting themselves in harms way but other people too, and they have no respect for the rules of the road. First of all, I live in an area of Colorado with some of the most dangerous roads around with some of the most traffic. I find nothing more aggravating than coming up on a bicyclist on the blind corners of the canyon. They don't even need to be on that kind of road in the first place. Now I completely understand if they were riding in town to work or what have you, but when they are in the canyon in the middle of the lane and I have to slam on the brakes to avoid coalition it's very VERY
Not only is it annoying to come up on a random bicyclist but it is also extremely dangerous not only for the biker but also for a driver like myself who is very nervous about getting in an accident in general but if I hit I bicyclist I would be locked up so fast it would make my head spin. My point is if I see a bike on the road I am going to do my best to avoid it, and I could potentially hit oncoming traffic. I could then have to live the rest of my life with the burden of seriously injuring or killing someone because I was trying not to hit a bicycle. Finally, I am yet to come upon a bicyclist who obeys the rules of the road. Personally I believe bicyclist think they are above the law, and because if this misguided information I have a lack of respect for the bicyclist. They don't signal turns, they don't give the divers room on the roads, and they don't even stop at stop signs! I can think of several time I have narrowly avoided having to peel a cyclist off the bumper of my truck because they have ran stop
