If they can’t drive at the age of sixteen then they won’t be able to drive to work and it will cause work problems. There need to be more than one way to get to school so if they can drive on their own buses won’t be as full as they are, also some students can’t ride the bus for some reasons. There could also be emergency situations that they need to go to for family members or others and if they can’t drive they can’t get there in time.
Some may argue that the legal driving age should be raised to eighteen. They argue that because, they believe eighteen year olds will be more mature and make better choices, but that is not always the case because if they never drive in the first place they won’t learn to be mature and how to make better choices, and also how to work at jobs.
Obviously, the legal driving age should not be raised to eighteen and stay at sixteen. If teenagers get autonomy they can learn how to be more responsible. Also with the driving age being eighteen it will cause transportation issues. Finally, they need responsibility which they won’t get if they are constantly helped by their parents and driving is a good start to this.
