Boundaries are set limits, usually established to make sure a person does not do something wrong. Usually every job comes with its own code of ethics. These codes define certain boundaries professionals need to know and follow. Most ethical codes are provided and supplied by the place you are employed. I think more people would also recognize these codes because they go by a different name, in some places they are called codes of conduct. Most places of employment make you sign a code of conduct saying you will follow all the rules and procedures. Those rules are in place to make sure you as an employee know what to do and what not to do.

This means keeping families in the loop at all times about how their child is doing while also maintaining a strict level of confidentiality with people outside of the family. Educators need to be accepting of other cultures and values that show up inside of their classroom while also learning about them so they can accommodate them. The third point deals with colleagues. It states that Educators should respect and help out other coworkers while also abiding by and maintaining NAEYC policies. The final and fourth point of NAEYC ethical codes of conduct deals with community and society. The childcare facilities need to provide for the families in their local area by meeting their current needs regarding the welfare of their children. I have to answer no. At the end of the day you can take off your professional work clothes, but in this day and age you must conduct yourself at all times as if someone is watching. If you are working in a professional setting you have a high reputation resting on your shoulders. You don’t need to go out and get smashed at a bar to have your clients upset at you. If you are a teacher and are caught at a bar with one beer in your hand all it takes is for one parent to see you take a picture and post it. After that you will have parents looking at you very differently because they don’t know that it was only one drink. I myself think that your personal reputation comes from your actions and how you conduct yourself at all times. You will most likely conduct yourself based on how you want others to look at you
