Ethical Problems in the ASPCA and Halliburton

Every corporation in the world has issues that crop up and need to be identified and addressed. All companies whether for Profit or Non- Profit need to maintain in the black to survive in the economy of today. The for Profit Corporations need to satisfy either the owners or the stock holders, the Non-Profits need to maintain the ability to be a company that is visible throughout due to the fact that people are donating money for them to exist. Both types of Companies have a Board of Directors that are stake holders and key decision makers. This paper will identify key problems related to business ethics in a Not-for-Profit and For- Profit organization how they are addressed and what transpired after their actions were taken. Not-For-Profit The ASPCA is a Non-Profit corporation that was established in 1866 and is one of the largest in the world. The ASPCA was founded by Henry Bergh with the idea” that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans, and must be protected under the law.” Their main headquarters is in New York City, but there are 6 other offices throughout the US. Not only do they have a strong presence in the US however they also partner with rescues around the world. Their programs extend their anti-cruelty mission across the country and are renound for their national animal welfare organization. They are a privately funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporations, with more than 2 million supporters across the country. .” While there are SPCAs and humane societies all over the country, the ASPCA is not directly affiliated with them. However, the ASPCA works nationally to rescue animals from abuse pass humane laws and share resources with many shelters across the country.” The ASPCA provides “local and national leadership in three key areas: caring for pet parents and pets, providing positive outcomes for at-risk animals and serving victims of animal cruelty.” (aspca.org) The ASPCA operates in many
