We are first year students from Faculty Science of University of Malaya. On regarding to Ethnics Relation studies we were asked to do a group assignment consist of 10 members with different ethnics. The assignment is about any ethnics in Malaysia. So, we decided to do research about Chitty communities in Gajah Berang, Malacca. On the second week, we started to do group discussions and meetings among ourselves on what aspect to be focused on. After few discussions, we decided to focus on Chitty community’s cuisine. In addition we also plan to do our field research in two different places which are Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur and Gajah Berang, Malacca. But, in the end we chose to go to Gajah Berang, Malacca. Basically, we chose to go to Malacca because it is the only place in Malaysia where we can found Chitty communities. Therefore, we can collect more information about the community.

It is because the group members have different lectures hours and stay in different residential college which is quiet far from one another. Besides that, we also faced problem in terms of transportation to visit the field work place. Fortunately, one of the members was willing to drive her sister’s car. So, we just rent a car so that all of the group member can go there. We did not face any problems among ourselves as all the members were giving their full commitment and cooperation. There were no sleeping members in our group. In addition, we also communicate through social networks and phone. Despite this problem, we had managed to go to Malacca as planned on 10th and 11th March 2012. The day before we went to Malacca, our team leader delegates our task to make sure that our project runs smoothly. Work division was
