Eva Nine Research Paper

Eva Nine, a twelve year old girl who lives in a Sanctuary, on planet Orbona, has never left her underground home. She has never tasted real food or has ever felt a drop of rain. Eva’s robot caretaker, Muthr along with her Omnipod and the Sanctuary, are the only companions Eva has ever lived with in her life. Although she has never been outside, Muthr still helps train Eva for basic survival skills in the outside world. When Eva was only five, she was playing Hide-and-Seek with Muthr when she finds a picture of a girl, a robot, and another man, arm-in-arm, with the title “WondLa.”

Inciting Incident

A day after training with Muthr and her Omnipod, the home Eva has been living in for twelve years, the Sanctuary, is attacked by a hunter
named Besteel. As she hears the blasts from Besteel’s sonic sound gun, Muthr quickly rushes Eva out a chute and outside. Muthr starts to yell calmly at Eva to leave from the premises as quickly as her legs can carry her.
