As one of the most notable historical event in the world, the American Civil War of 1861 is the most studied conflicts across the globe. The motivations and events that led to this war can be analyzed from the social, political and economic aspects. However, political compromises from different party persuasions and state interest led to the inevitable event of a national civil war. According to experts, up to 10 events and situations directly made the war unavoidable. These include the Fugitive Slave of Act of 1850, the rejection of the Lecompton constitution of 1857, Missouri Compromise and Kansas Nebraska Act of 1854. The war lasted from 1861 to 1865 leading to the death of up to 625,000 American lives. According to Hall (2015), the states that supported slavery felt that the slave trade was economically viable and the free labor provided by the African descendants could not be replaced.
