Every year, my summer consist of my family and I traveling around the states. Boston Massachusetts, was one of the states that built the love and appreciation I have for nature. The Boston Tea Party Museum was located between Congress St and Seaport Blvd. The city its self was appealing. Trees and flowers you’d Normally see on the TV, Big Houses with paintings so bright you think it was painted every-week.The lawns was tidy, plantings and the trees were clipped to purity. Where I was standing, the sidewalks were smooth and clean. No cracks, no unruffled spots. It was the most errorless town I had ever seen. The museum was a long way from the neighbor I was at. The drive didn’t seem like it was half an hour; more like couple of minutes. From…

The thick tree lines and vast open fields bring a sense of freedom and grandeur. The brilliant light shining like beacon of hope with the soft calming breeze flowing across the field is refreshing and pure like a baby after a warm bath. The air seems to be free and clear of the city’s poisonous air pollution and the soft sounds of birds makes it all too refreshing, like a beautiful day on the beach. With quiet clean monuments and buildings dancing across the landscape, the look of peace and quiet seems to be present at last. As the blue crisp skies begin to darken across the brilliant blue pond, the shimmering light hitting the trees is as beautiful as the sun setting on the Catalina Island on a bright blue day with soft clouds flowing across the sky. I have the taste of fresh fruit on my tongue in my mouth as I take a long deep breath, and realize how much the soft green grass adds to the peacefulness in the park. I can hear the cheerful wildlife scampering beyond the tree line, like young children frolicking in their mother’s front yard. As the quiet darkness sets in, and with the city brilliant lights in the background, the serene park makes the bustling city seem peaceful once…
Some people enjoy the beach, others enjoy the mountains, but my favorite place is Branson, Missouri. Imagine peering down from the dock into a body of water in which you can see every little detail as it descends toward the bottom. You look up and see the cascading Ozark Mountains as if they were part of the border of Mona Lisa’s frame. A hush and peace unlike any other overwhelms you. You can hear the calming sounds of nature as an underlying harmony to that peace. The birds croon soft tones as the water flows softly past the dock. As the morning begins, a cool breeze floats off of Table Rock Lake giving the sensation of Fall no matter what time of the year it may be. Your stomach begins to growl as the smell of fresh baked…
Flowing peacefully between the foothills of West Virginia and the Ohio valley, lies one of nature's most beautiful wonders. The Ohio river is a place many visitors find as refreshing as a cool glass of lemonade on a hot day. In the spring and summer months, a visitor may hear the laughter of friends enjoying a relaxing weekend. The quick speed of boats cause the water to smack against itself making waves that ripple out and splash against the river bank. They may smell a mixture of cool water, along with the sweet aromas of great laurel and freshly cut grass. In the fall the hills are covered in breathtaking shades of red, yellow, orange and amber changing from the recent lush green tones. The wind is crisp and cool…
In summary, where will I ever find a place so majestic yet serene? No place will ever replace my time in the woods. Time will never stop to let me be out there forever, so I’m going to enjoy while it lasts. The ridges form my heart, and the creeks running through them my blood. The fall leaves drifting down the stream represents the colors of my blood, soft, sweet, and loyal. After all, never will I find a place that’s as close to my heart as the woods in the luscious…
My trip to Chicago altered my thoughts on small town life. I realized that I wanted to live in a big city. There is always something to do in big cities and the skyline will always be there towering over the city with beauty. It’s a picture perfect view that one would wake up to everyday. Lake Michigan's serene environment and the city nightlife installed views in my mind that I will never forget. One day, I hope to live out my dream of moving to the Windy…
Along the water mounds of people in inflatable inner tubes pass through the water, getting as red as lobsters and not caring about the risk of getting sun burnt. The smell of strong gasoline now enters my lungs; our neighbors getting ready to put in some jet skis in the water and my step dad filling up the boat. I then eavesdrop on a chatting couple passing the dock stand up paddle boarding hoping that the floating group will not allow them to fall off their boards. Now the warm sun nearly bakes me as I sit and observe. The wake of the water splashes my feet as huge pontoon boats slowly and carefully make their way across the river; carrying large groups of people partying. I take one last deep breath in and taste the heavily polluted water in the air, as I stand up I step in to the cold, freshly watered grass, which is drying up very quickly. The 112◦ weather cooking up my insides makes me sweat as if I just got out of the water from wakeboarding. I sprint as fast as I can from the grass and dive into the cool water and remember why I visit here so…

The bronchoscopy was passed through the nose. The vocal cords were identified and appeared normal. No lesions were seen in this area. The larynx and trachea were then identified and also appeared normal with no lesions or bleeding. The main carina was sharp. All bronchial segments were visualized. There was an endobronchial mucosal lesion. This was located on the right lower lobe of the bronchus. The lesion was occluding the right lower lobe of the bronchus. No other lesions were seen. With use of fluoroscopic guidance, transbronchial biopsies were taken of the area of the lesion. Brush washings were also done for cytology analysis. The patient tolerated both procedures well and was sent to the recovery area in stable condition.…
In the mid-nineteenth century, the global business market had been improved by the introduction of mass production and management for the industries. With the increase of income and level of education, the consumers had higher purchasing power to fulfill their needs as well as their desire (Miller 1981, quoted in Featherstone 1991, 172). The consumer culture was later brought by the various advertising paths in 1920s (Featherstone 1991, 172). Consumer culture is the global trend which most people are aspired to buy goods and services that are not necessary for life (Belk 1988, quoted in Varman and Manohar Vikas, 3). The three causes of the consumer culture are motivation of advertisements, materialism among nations and the growing of high standard of living.…
