Being a member of Best Buddies and SAVE, I demonstrate a strong sense of dedication for supporting others and lending a helping hand. The goals of both Best Buddies and SAVE are to further acceptance, embrace diversity, promote safety in schools, and spreading positive energy. As a student representative, my sole objective would be to help enlighten the school board and those in the community about the daily life at MHS, advocate for the 1,600 students currently attending, and respectively relay any helpful amendments that would benefit the Mukwonago Area School District. The multiple clubs I participate in and the copious amounts of friendships I developed with people that have contrasting passions also allow me to speak on behalf of a relatively large group of students. The students taking part in the same activities that I belong to range from freshman to seniors. The opinions of a freshman compared to that of a senior’s may vary drastically, and being a part of clubs with a sample of each year will give me an advantage to hear an assortment of…

If she satisfies the minimum qualifications of over 18 years old, no unresolved bankruptcy and no criminal conduct, Oprah can be appointed as a director by members by passing an ordinary resolution or by the board of directors. In GPF’s situation, Alice and Daniel may hold a general meeting and pass the ordinary resolution to appoint Oprah as the new director. The new director can hold office for an unlimited period of time unless specified in the appointment. Or Alice and Daniel can appoint Oprah by holding a board meeting but the new director must retire at the next AGM or if no AGM, within 9 months after the end of the company’s fiscal year. Since GPF is a private company with only two existing members and directors, it better for them to pass the resolution in general meeting to avoid re-election.…

For the past 3 years I have been an officer for the GSA club at our school. When I started out as a freshmen I wanted to join this club, only to find that there was not one running. So myself and others rebuilt the club and started over, making a safe place for those who can be specifically targeted for discrimination and to teach others about LGBT history and current events that can affect us. Due to my continued leadership and failure to not give up on the club, I feel that it is a major accomplishment for the school that we have this club, and for me in the leadership…

The Gay Straight Alliance has given me the invaluable opportunity to positively impact my environment: an opportunity I could not…

I am planning on serving a mission this July and I am writing this to show the passion that I have to forgo that plan and to make sure nothing restricts me from doing so. I am 19 years old and I attend Brigham Young University in Utah. I have always had my goals set high in everything that I do so I am very thankful to be here. I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at a young age and I want to start off by saying that CF is a part of me, but it does not control me—it does not define who I am. From a very young age, my parents have taught me what it’s like to be independent and not rely on others to do things for me that I can do for myself. They have also taught me to never quit at anything: sports, school, work, etc. As I have grown up, sports have been of my…
