Persuasion and counselling
Persuasion is an act of making someone to do or believe something .It can be done effortlessly or with some little or aggressive effort. The best example of the use of persuasion is by making people buy your idea even without them realising it.
According to an excerpt in the website, skillsyouneed.com
“The fable of the sun and the wind is a good example:
The wind and the sun decided to have a competition to decide once and for all who was stronger. They agreed that the winner would be the one who could persuade a man to take off his coat. The wind blew and blew, but the man only held on more tightly to his coat. Then the sun
shone gently down, and within minutes, the man took off his coat”.
Instead of being aggressive, it is better to be subtle by placing the other person in a win-win situation.
Counselling – there are two forms of counseling. Basic (social) and Advanced (professional) counseling. According to the Holy Bible, proverbs 11:14.where there is no counsel, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. Counselling is good for the protection of human lives preventing health and psychological problems and also helps in preventing bad decisions.
A good example of counselling is by helping clients to see his/her situation more clearly, if possible from different point of views. This could enable clients to be able to focus on their feelings, experiences or behaviours, with a target of achieving positivity in their lives.
Opinion.
Interpersonal skill in business is very important because it helps keep the business going. Where a company lacks these skills which are highly relevant in business, they may begin to lose their customers and employees may suffer from stress and different conflicts will begin to occur.
