Juliet and the Nurse are very close and Juliet trusts her with a lot of information. The Nurse is the one to go talk to Romeo about Romeo and Juliet's wedding plans. Juliet trusts the Nurse to help her whenever she needs help. There is a very strong bond between the two and the Nurse does what Juliet wants because she is like a daughter to her. Lord Capulet is outraged once Juliet does not want to marry and the Nurse tries to step in. She tries to pull him away, but he soon reminds her that she is only their worker. She becomes cowardly and stops being that mother figure once reminded she has no authority over Lord Capulet. Juliet is hurt by her parents and is expecting the nurse to help her. The Nurse has to agree with Lord Capulet and tells Juliet that Romeo should mean nothing to her and she should go marry Paris. Caring deeply about Juliet, the Nurse wants to keep her safe and to do the right thing. Juliet agrees to this plan, although her real intentions are told after the Nurse leaves when Juliet says “...Go, counselor. / Thou and my bosom henceforth shall be twain” (III.v.252-3). Juliet was abandoned by the nurse and so Juliet does not trust anything the Nurse says or does. Ultimately Juliet feels betrayed and hurt that someone who cared so much about her would do something like that to her.
