If the two families wouldn’t have been in an ancient feud anyways then there would have been no fighting in the streets in the first place. Without the fighting in the streets the first three times then the prince wouldn’t have have had to decree that the next time there was fighting in the streets of Verona that someone would be punished! Which also means that without the fighting Romeo wouldn’t have been banished for fighting. The Montague family would have been invited to the Capulets party in the first place if not for the families hating each other. Romeo being invited to the party then would have meant that Tybalt would not have wanted to fight him, which would have taken away Tybalt and Mercutio’s death, along with Romeo's punishment. The feud caused Juliet and Romeo’s marriage to be forbidden, most likely the parents of both families would have at least been considered, and it would not have been as horrible that they got married in secret. In all reality the parents, in an indirect way, caused Romeo and Juliet to keep things from them. Romeo kept going to the Capulet’s party, Juliet kept that she had been sneaking off to see Romeo, and they both kept the marriage and there plan to run away together. They could not explain to Juliet’s parents why she couldn’t marry the County Paris in fear of repercussions. Which overall this feud led to the death of both of their children and four others! If this feud would have been put aside or never been going on nothing as horrible would have had to happen
