and lights a pine knot so the Buck will run away.Person vs. person/ nature. Clay boy gets dropped off by the sheriff and has to walk through the cold snow. He walks through the tough weather and goes to the church. He gets there and walks in the door and all the black people turn around and give him a look that makes it look like they think he’s going to harm them. Then Hawthorne helps him out and comes and grabs him and sits him by the fireplace and warms him.Person vs person. This was when Becky was washing dishes. Becky was washing dishes and clay boy went out to get a Christmas tree. Becky was mad because she wanted to go with him to get the tree, but her mom wouldn’t let her.
