After I read this article, I understand the effects of logos, pathos, and ethos. I think these three rhetorical ideas are mainly pursuing the artistry of the articles or essay. For example, Pathos is the emotional appeal of the characters. The writer would write about "When someone was feeling sympathy about homeless, they would give food or money to them instead of ignoring them. " At the mean time of the readers, they can feel the compassion of the characters, and they would imagining themselves into the moment…
To begin with, Eighner establishes his use of logos by emphasizing his view on wastefulness in today’s society. Eighner communicates in his article, “Because help seldom stays long at these places, pizzas are often made with wrong topping, refused on delivery for being cold, or baked incorrectly. The products to be discarded are boxed up” (714). Here, he is exemplifying his claim that people are wasting away foods over little things, such as toppings on pizzas. Furthermore, Eighner writes “Students throw food away around breaks because they do not know whether it has spoiled or will spoil before they return” (715). This is another example of wastefulness, students discard perfectly good food because they are unaware of the expiration date.…

Pathos means you write about your feelings and you use that to persuade your writer which means the writer uses emotions and images that appeal to the reader. While ethos means credibility and using authorities and celebrities to show you point, which means your reader knows the person you show them and somehow relates to them . Logos means you use logic to show your point, which is one of the strongest ways to persuade your reader because you will use facts to show your point . These appeals include logos, ethos, pathos, and kairos. To consider which of these appeals is the most effective for proving demonstrable qualities of masculinity, one must take into consideration the time the argument is being presented.
