Viola a main character in the story shows the most manipulation because she disguises herself as her brother (who she thinks is dead) to work for a duke. Throughout the story she gets everyone thinking that she is Sebastian and then she gets closer and closer with the duke even has Olivia another main character fall for her.
Toby which is the uncle of Olivia has some manipulation throughout the story as well because Andrew (another guy in love with Olivia) he starts to give up on her but toby makes up lots of stories and puts lots of many different thoughts in his head about how if he can fight for Olivia he will win her heart. The message I got from this was that not everyone is who they seem. Also if something seems too good to be true then most of the time it is. He was trying to show us to not believe everything you say or hear because everyone and everything has the power to hurt you. You can’t help to believe most things but you can prevent getting hurt. People in this world most of the time just think of themselves and what can help them like what they will get in the long run. Not saying that there isn’t good people in the world because there is but sometimes they have good intentions they just don’t come out the way they want.
