Identification
Which is when a person takes on the views of the group when they join that group. These are internalised and do not change once that individual is away from the influence of the group. This is also based on Informational Social Influence. An example would be voting for a political party after hearing their views and deciding that you have changed your opinion.
Internalisation
A person may take on the views of the group, whilst in that group, but changes them back after they
leave the group. This is based on the desire to be right - Informational Social Influence . An example of Identification with Normative Social Influence would be joining the Girl Guide/ Scout movement as your friends are all members.
