Examples Of Persistence-Music: Hope
Persistence-Music-Hope

It is amazing how three simple words can mean so much to a being, especially three words that do not relate in any way except through the specific being. These relations between terms give a meaning through the beings’ experiences in life whether they be misfortune or happiness. The three words that touch me emotionally, spiritually and physically are persistence, music and a favorite of most: hope. Each word means something very different for every living thing that ever has and will exist. For me however, they come together to create fantasies only I can dream.

My new favorite word is suffering. I endeavor to use it in my writing and in everyday life as much as possible. This is because I’m reading Elena Ferrante’s delicious novel quartet, which recounts the tale of a complex friendship between two women from a very young age into their sixties. The story takes place in Naples, Italy. The neighborhood is run down, the girls’ clothing, drab; but the characters’ emotions are so alive! And the narrator’s repeated use of the word suffering strikes such a chord.…

There are a few different factors that play into courage when it comes to persistence and enthusiasm. Character strengths or the big picture is just one of many. Character strengths are defined as virtues, for example, the virtue of wisdom which can be achieved through strengths such as creativity, curiosity, love of learning, open mindedness, and perspective (Peterson and Seligman, 2004). Most virtues are the core characteristics that are valued by thinkers and philosophers. Wisdom, courage, humanity, justice, temperance, and transcendence are just to name a few of the characteristics. Without courage most people would not have the persistence or enthusiasm to complete anything in life. Courage would almost be considered a guideline to have the want to get anything done. Courage gives people the push when things go wrong. To sum up courage when it comes to persistence and enthusiasm, courage give people the push they need to get things done, to strive not only for excellence, but to become number one.…

Perseverance - steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. In the book “Unwind”, the author develops many ideas surrounding perseverance. All of the characters in this novel can be related back to life as we know it. The examples displayed, although dramatized in certain instances, can represent the battles people of today find themselves fighting. Among all things, the author shows that no matter what you are fighting for, whether it be your life, or a greater passion of yours, simply anything in between, when it’s worth fighting for, don’t give it up The author’s point becomes that if an issue means a lot to you, go down kicking and screaming,…

This is the second most important quality that hope has, to me. I know that this is an important quality of hope because of the common goals that humans hope to happen, such as growing up and marrying a very special significant other and having kids of your own, or going to school and becoming very smart and hard working so that you will go far in life and be very successful when you get out of school. You see, all those life goals and any other specific one that one person has for themself is a display of how hope gives people something to live for. I also can prove this because of how in movies and other things that i've witnessed or seen in my short, little life, when the person loses hope, they just give up on everything and decide to die or not be happy. I see this over and over in movies where there is an character with cancer or some other life threatening disease and the loved ones that they are fighting for dies or the thing that the person is fighting for goes away stops being there and the person with cancer stops fighting because their lack of…
