My vision as a leader is to be honest, promote interpersonal relationship among people and inspire them to take actions.
When I am leading, I make sure that everyone in the group I am leading has chance to expression his opinion. “An ethical leader is one that considers positive and negative views and the rights of everyone involved, as well as ensuring that decisions are made in an ethical manner and members are held accountable. The ethical actions of a leader enhance his or her credibility and integrity, which causes followers to trust” (Kay, 2016). This means that for a leader to be ethical, he or she needs to make sure that both positive and negative thoughts are welcomed so as to promote core commitment among teammates. In addition, the leader should make sure that every time, the team chose a fair decision. As a leader I chose to act in this way because everyone in the group feels that he needs to commit to solve the group’s problems. According to Kay (2016), “organizing a team of experts requires the leadership skill of valuing team success over individual success”. This means that in order to be a successful leader, one need to make sure that he or she is working for the success of the whole team instead of personal interest. This is because working for group interest builds trust among the team. What is more is that working for the group interest encourages the rest of the team to contribute resources and ideas so as to promote the success of the team.
